What is a cathedral choir?
Cathedral choirs are small choirs usually made up of around 20-30 singers
Cathedral choirs sing at Anglican services (Eucharist, Matins, and Evensong)
The choir is open to all, regardless of religious belief
We sing a wide range of repertoire, from 1500s to the present day
Who we are
The musical director of The Wingrave Singers is Colin Spinks, who is a full-time musician. He is director of several choirs, including one in the City of London.
We are a friendly group of musicians who all share a passion for singing sacred music. We have a wide range of experience amongst us.
We hold six rehearsals at Wingrave Parish Church prior to any cathedral visit, plus further rehearsals over the course of each weekend away.
Singing in the many beautiful cathedrals across the country is a wonderful experience. You will have the opportunity to enjoy these beautiful spaces and their rich histories and acoustics.
There is something special about making music in these places.
